GICLEE' REPRODUCTIONS

Giclee' (pronounced Gee’clay) is a French term meaning to spray or squirt, which is how an inkjet printer works. Our professional quality printer produces far superior copies than the standard desktop printers.

This printing technology utilizes microscopically fine droplets of ink to form the image. A print can consist of nearly 20 billion ink droplets. The microscopic droplets of ink vary in size (approximately the size of a red blood cell) and density. This unique, feature produces a near continuous tone image, smoother gradation between tones, and a more finely differentiated color palette.  Copies are printed on special 100% fiber based paper.

Giclee' print-making should no be confused with color Xerox copies (laser prints) which have neither the fine resolution, color quality, nor longevity suitable for framing.

This is the only process available today which retains the "old photo look" of your originals.

The following prices apply to "as is" copies requiring no restoration service or art work.
